Install FediBoard on your browser
FediBoard is not yet available on browser extension stores — we're working on it. In the meantime, you can install it directly in a couple of minutes using your browser's developer mode. No technical skills required — just follow the steps below.

How to install

Download and unzip the file
Click the button above to download the ZIP. Once downloaded, unzip it — you'll get a folder named
fediboard. Keep that folder somewhere you won't accidentally delete it.2
Open your browser's extension page
In Chrome, Edge, Brave or Opera, type
In Vivaldi, use
chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter.In Vivaldi, use

Enable Developer Mode
Look for the Developer mode toggle in the top-right corner of the extensions page and switch it on. This allows you to load extensions that aren't from a store — nothing changes in how your browser behaves otherwise.

Load the extension
Click "Load unpacked" — a file picker will open. Navigate to the unzipped
fediboard folder and select it. FediBoard will appear in your extensions list immediately.5
Pin it to your toolbar
Click the puzzle piece icon 🧩 in your browser toolbar, find FediBoard and click the pin icon to keep it visible. Then head to flipboard.com — the panel will appear automatically.
About the browser warning you may see
Your browser may show a message like "FediBoard can read and change data on flipboard.com" — this is a standard Chrome warning for any extension that interacts with a website, and it is completely expected.
Here is exactly what FediBoard does and does not do:
✓ It reads the Flipboard page you are currently on — to load your articles, notifications and magazine data into the panel.
✓ It communicates with fediboard.com — to handle your account, sync your plan and process Fediverse boosts.
✗ It does not read any other website.
✗ It does not collect, store or share any personal data beyond what you explicitly provide.
✗ It has no access to your passwords, browser history or any other extensions.
Your privacy is fully respected. FediBoard only ever touches the Flipboard page in front of you — nothing else, guaranteed.
